Arts & Crafts Coffee Table in Quartersawn English Oak
Price: £1800 GBP
This coffee table is part of a series of furniture inspired by my love for the English arts & crafts movement.
It is made of carefully selected, locally-sourced, fully quartersawn English Oak (Quercus Robur), which display the full impact of its medullary rays. The bottom shelf displays oversized through tenons on both ends, accented by wooden pegs made from Purpleheart.
This table is made to be handed down to future generations.
Overall dimensions: 766 mm width x 384 mm depth x 408 mm height.
Arts & Crafts Side Table in Quartersawn English Oak
Price: £900 GBP
This coffee table is part of a series of furniture inspired by my love for the English arts & crafts movement, which reacted to the impoverishment of quality and aesthetics brought by industrialisation. In response it celebrated the unabashed display of proper joinery (instead of concealing poor joints), quality natural materials, and tasteful if moderate embellishment.
This table is made of carefully selected, locally-sourced, fully quartersawn English Oak (Quercus Robur), which display the full impact of its medullary rays. The bottom shelf displays oversized through tenons on both ends, accented by wooden pegs made from Purpleheart.
This table is made to be handed down to future generations.
Overall dimensions: 423 mm width x 374 mm depth x 410 mm height.
Authentic Viking Sea Chest Replica
Price: £650 GBP
An authentic replica of a Viking sea chest, based on the construction and proportions of the Mästermyr tool chest find (789–1066), though half the size.
Constructed from solid Oak (Quercus robur). The hinges and hasp replicate a different, if contemporaneous find, from the Coppergate site in York, circa 9th century (item #3480). Glued and finished with casein glue and linseed oil, as it would have likely been done back then.
Overall dimensions: 433 mm width x 120 mm depth x 148 mm height.
